Wristo services are operated by WuKong OÜ, which is responsible for personal data processing and privacy protection for these services. The Wristo iOS app is developed and published on the App Store by 北京简径科技有限公司 with authorization from WuKong OÜ.
Request account and data deletion
Wristo on iOS and Android
Both apps use your Wristo account for sign-in, existing watch face ownership, membership, activation and access to Studio designs. Downloaded design packages and watch face settings are transferred to your Garmin watch when you use synchronization features. Files, favorites, preferences and connection state may be cached or saved on your phone. Availability varies by platform and app version.
Bluetooth access is used to discover and connect to compatible Garmin watches and transfer watch faces and settings. Android 12 and later request Nearby devices permissions. On Android 11 and earlier, Bluetooth scanning requires the location permission; Wristo uses it for device discovery, not to obtain GPS coordinates. iOS requests Bluetooth permission for watch connection and synchronization. You can decline these permissions and continue using features that do not require a watch connection.
The iOS and Android companion apps do not request HealthKit or Health Connect access and do not collect Garmin health or activity records, GPS coordinates, contacts, microphone recordings or camera images. A watch face displaying health or activity values on the watch does not by itself mean that those values are uploaded to the phone app or Wristo servers.
1. Collection of Personal Information
Wristo is operated by WuKong OÜ. This policy covers the Wristo website, Wristo for iOS and Android, and the account and design services they use. We process your email address, account identifier, profile information you provide and linked sign-in identities to create and manage your account. Passwords or verification codes are transmitted for authentication. Google and Apple sign-in provide identity information and authorization credentials needed to sign you in; we do not receive your Google or Apple password.
For Apple in-app purchases, Apple processes billing. Wristo receives signed transaction information, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase and expiration or revocation information, and an app account token that associates the purchase with your Wristo account. We use these records to verify, restore and manage membership, handle refunds or revocations, and prevent fraud. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
2. Use of Information
- Provide compatible watch face browsing, recommendations, activation, downloads, Studio design builds and synchronization. Requests can include search terms, selected Garmin model, watch face or design identifiers and activation codes. Account-linked purchase and membership records let us verify access.
- Process orders, provide receipts and service updates, and respond to support and privacy requests. Support messages and information you choose to attach are stored to handle your request.
- Operate and secure the services, troubleshoot errors, prevent misuse, comply with applicable obligations and resolve disputes.
3. Device and Technical Information
Connecting a Garmin watch involves processing device names, Bluetooth identifiers, model and connection information. Features that manage watch faces also process installed watch face identifiers, transfer status and settings. Device connection information is handled on your phone and exchanged with the watch; compatibility, activation and design build requests send the selected model and relevant product or design information to Wristo. These are device and usage data, not necessarily anonymous information. Web and API infrastructure also handles IP addresses and request metadata when serving requests. Some activation and purchase flows use the request IP address to infer and record an approximate country, region and city associated with the activation for geographic usage reporting. This is IP-derived approximate location, not GPS coordinates from your phone.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The website uses a language preference cookie and browser storage for sign-in state, preferences and other saved site state. It also loads Google Analytics to measure website visits, page views and browser/device information; Google Analytics can use cookies and online identifiers. This website analytics description is separate from Bluetooth processing in the native apps. You can clear or block cookies and site storage through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or reset preferences. Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. Google and Apple process sign-in requests when you choose their services. Hosting, content and image delivery providers process network requests needed to deliver the service. Google processes website analytics information. Payment providers, including Paddle for website checkout, process payment details under their own policies. Wristo processes order references, purchase status and membership entitlements; this is different from storing full payment card details. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or valid legal process. Providers may process information outside your country. Third parties receiving personal data from Wristo must provide protection at least equivalent to this policy and applicable Apple App Review requirements, and may process that data only for the disclosed purposes and as permitted by law.
6. Your Rights & Consent
This policy explains our data practices; reading it or using the service does not replace permission or consent where required. Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@wristo.io for these requests. You can also:
- In the iOS app, sign in, open Account and choose Delete Account below Log out to delete your shared Wristo account and associated personal data. The linked deletion page explains identity verification and account deletion consequences. Signing out, uninstalling the app or unlinking a sign-in provider does not delete the account.
- Withdraw an optional consent or revoke Bluetooth permissions in your phone settings. Revoking Bluetooth access prevents watch connection and synchronization. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
7. Data Security
We use HTTPS for service requests and restrict access to personal data. Mobile sign-in credentials are kept in platform-protected storage, including the iOS Keychain and encrypted Android session storage. Local preferences, downloaded files and device state may remain after sign-out. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
We keep account, profile, linked sign-in identity, design and entitlement information while needed to provide the Services. Account deletion removes or de-identifies associated records and invalidates access. Historical transaction references and limited deletion records may remain for accounting, legal obligations, fraud prevention and to prevent payment notifications from recreating deleted account benefits. Shared licensed assets may remain in other users' designs with attribution to the deleted account removed. Storage cleanup can continue after account removal. Retention depends on the applicable obligation or unresolved security or dispute purpose; contact support for information about records retained for your account and the applicable period.
iOS users can complete deletion in Account → Delete Account after confirming with the linked Apple account or an emailed deletion code. The same identity verification applies regardless of account role. Merchant profiles are removed and catalog listings are hidden; records and licensed resources needed for other customers' existing purchases may be retained. Account deletion removes account benefits and saved designs across Wristo services and cannot be undone. It does not cancel Apple or other provider subscriptions or automatically request a refund. Manage billing with the original provider. Files already installed on a watch are not remotely erased, and storage cleanup may continue after account removal. Remove local exports and browser or app storage separately as needed.
8. Changes to this Policy
We update this policy when our services or data practices change and show the revision date above. Where a change requires notice or renewed consent, we will provide it as required.
